Students are introduced to a variety of mediums and techniques throughout each session including but not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media.

Adult Workshop – Instructor: Maria Malatesta
This workshop introduces a variety of techniques including gelli plate printing, collage, paint applications and image transfer. Water based paints will be used. Old books, letters, papers, found objects, wallpapers and other personal materials may be incorporated into your painting. Each week we will have still life for inspiration as well as thematic assignments to be used as a prompt. This is a fun, experimental and supportive class!

Learn the Japanese art of Tataki-zomé and create beautiful, eco-printed textiles using spring flowers. This one-day workshop will guide you through the process from flower selection to print creation. The perfect opportunity to make a gift for Mom!
In this 3-hour workshop, you will:
- create beautiful and crisp printing from fresh flowers and leaves using a hammering technique (Tataki-zomé) on a 14’ x 14” cotton tote bag.
- design your own floral printing pattern and color palette.
- learn how to prepare your own fabrics for eco-printing at home.
- take home a dye flowers list and tips to grow your own dye flower garden.
